Call for Abstracts & Trainee Stipend Applications
Prospective workshop participants are invited to submit abstracts at this workshop. We also want to encourage participants who qualify to apply for trainee stipends (see requirements below).
Deadline for Abstract Submissions
Abstract submission is closed!
Abstract Format Guidelines
The full abstract must be 1 page long and it will be uploaded as a PDF file. Make sure the text and figures are clearly readable, file size limit is 10MB. We recommend including the following sections, although we also note that there are often good reasons to deviate from this format.
Abstract Body
- INTRODUCTION: “Why was this study/research performed? What unsolved problem are you addressing?”
- METHODS: “How did you study this problem?”
- RESULTS: “Report the data, analyses and/or outcomes”
- DISCUSSION: “How do you interpret the results?”
- CONCLUSION: “What is the relevance to clinical practice or future research?”
- REFERENCES: References should use the suggested style below.
Figures
- Up to 2 figures may be included as part of the abstract, along with a caption, as long as everything fits in one page.
References
- Cite each source in numerical order using superscript Arabic numerals. At the end of the abstract, list references numerically in the order in which they were cited in the text.
Trainee Stipend Application- Closed!
The workshop organizers welcome applications for trainee stipends. These trainee stipends ($500) plus free registration, funded by our sponsors, are intended to partially subsidize the attendance of clinical trainees (including residents and fellows) within 7 years of obtaining an M.D. or equivalent degree, pre- and post-doctoral fellows within 5 years of obtaining a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Priority will be given to applicants who are first authors on abstracts selected for presentation, but this is not a requirement.
